About District 1

District 1 exists at the heart of the city of Columbus, Georgia. The district is straddled by Bull Creek and Norfolk Southern Railroad, both of which run the near length of the district. Notable landmarks within District 1 include the Parkwood Cemetery, Cooper Creek Park, Woodruff Farm Road Soccer Complex. Neighborhoods covered by District 1 include Edgewood, St. Mary’s Hills, Brookhaven, Linden, Parkchester, Sunset Terrace, Glen Ardle, Alta Vista and East Edgewood.
