Georgia unemployment rate down in July

The Georgia Department of Labor announced today that the state unemployment rate has dropped, according to July statistics.
The unemployment rate for July dropped to 6 percent, down one-tenth of a percentage point from 6.1 percent in June. In July 2014, the state unemployment rate was at 7.2 percent.
According to State Labor Commissioner Mark Butler, it has been more than 7 years since the state unemployment was at this low a level.
